		<description>David:

I would be interested in reading your primary sources.

Given what I have read and a lifetime spent in and around academic research, industrial research and development and all of the exposure to scientists and engineers that I have had, someone is either horribly hyping this subject and / or smoking funny weed from the 1960s.</description>

		<description>Jonathan-

Your comments have been intelligent through time. This time however you are suffering the same incorrect assumption that many others hold. From everything I have learned on the subject, there could be a scalable hydrogen fuel cell marketplace by 2012-2015, no doubt. As I wrote above, in one year there could be 15 million people within several miles of a hydrogen fueling station in LA.

Thanks for your comment.

		<description>David:

The reason that the Obama administration cut funding for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles is simple: it is too far out into the future to make a meaningful contribution in the next 20 years. I mentioned this to you previously in regards to your earlier posting.

Thankfully, we have a real scientist, Stephen Chu, at the DOE who understands the technical challenges in scaling prototypes to industrial scale.

		<description>David

Our President is first and foremost a Chicago politician...susceptible to influence. You must be to get anywhere in Illinois politics.

I hope you are right about an oversight...but time will tell...watch what they do, not what they say.
