The screen is already dominating our life; about 16 hours a week watching TV, 25 hours a week computer screens among the 80% connected to the internet at work
or home, not to speak of about 17 calls made or received daily with the assistance of cell phone screens, or video games, and GPS screens in cars.
As you suggest, big screens in the home will very much
become the equivalent of windows around the house..windows to the world

Interesting read, the CES show has a lot of interesting products that companies are bringing out.

With wireless electricity being brought out soon, I'm excited to see what applications they will work with.

A buddy of mine actuall works for a company called PowerBeam that is involved in the wireless era and they safely transmit energy through optical energy.

By using optical energy they can send energy over long-range distances. Their device also has a safety system so that it shuts down if anything is close to the beam.

If you're interested in more info regarding optical energy transfer check out www.powerbeaminc.com
