<description>Google, the smart-ass player will have a huge piece of pie from the cellphone market. They are good, and they are good for good reasons.

<description>David, Nice to be back on your blog again. I like the other posts on google too. I thought it was a compelling one, because I use google quite often for a huge amount of reasons and we are discussing it to great length in my advertising class. On another aspect of this, I always ask my-self and friends/peers in school, what is the next projected step in the future of techonology? Well, you nailed it in the computer aspect there David.
Have a good week, hope all is well with the book and life in general--- keep me posted

&gt; OHA will facilitate both of these inevitable trends.

The first analysis that I have read of OHA reaches exactly the opposite conclusion. It makes the point that while OHA may include code for all functions, including unrestricted Internet browsing, there is no assurance that any handset will include all of it. Some of it may be omitted. Some may be changed into proprietary code. After all, Macintosh OS X is based on open source code but it is highly proprietary.

It really remains to be seen how much openness will be created by OHA.</description>
