Great one David. This is now the third time (I think) that I have had the opportunity to discuss another Philip Dick novel/movie. As I have mentioned in the other posts, I suggest again that just maybe, other major elements of his post apocalyptic stories may also be within our lifetimes. Aren't all the ingredients before us right now?
-global energy crisis
-potential global health crisis/disease
-severe political unrest

...if I were an alarmist I would add asteroids and the rise of robots to the list. If all or a combo of these REALLY go bad I think we'll have Blade Runner, Total Recall and/or Mad Max (not a Dick story) right here in suburbia.

Am I paranoid?
